Nina turns 20: Nina Ricci's ultra-creamy pistachio Eau de Parfum

New 2026Women's fragrance3 min read

A cult apple-shaped bottle, twenty years of gourmand mischief… and a new obsession: pistachio. For its icon's anniversary, Nina Ricci unveils Nina Eau de Parfum, an ultra-creamy treat composed by Olivier Cresp — father of the original Nina — and Sophie Labbé. The whole Nina family has just landed at Olara — here's the guided tour.

1Nina, the apple-bottle icon since 2006

In 2006, the Parisian house founded in 1932 by couturière Maria “Nina” Ricci and her son Robert — the very house that gave the world L'Air du Temps — entrusted Olivier Cresp with an olfactory fairy tale: Nina, a playful eau de toilette in which lemon and lime bite into a heart of gardenia and toffee apple, over a base of cedarwood and white musk. Its red apple-shaped bottle instantly became one of perfumery's most recognisable objects, and “that girl” settled into young women's wardrobes for twenty years. The whole Nina Ricci collection is gathered at Olara.

22026: the 20th-birthday pistachio, by Cresp and Labbé

To celebrate its icon's 20th anniversary, the house aims high: Nina Eau de Parfum spotlights the most coveted ingredient of the moment — pistachio — in an ultra-creamy woody floral gourmand, vegan and formulated with 89% natural-origin ingredients. Behind the composition, a top-flight duo: Olivier Cresp, master perfumer and author of the original Nina (as well as the legendary Angel by Mugler and Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana), returns to his own creation alongside Sophie Labbé, the perfumer behind Organza by Givenchy, among others. For the occasion, the apple bottle wears a luminous red-to-pink gradient topped with a rose gold cap, in a case illustrated by artist Safia Ouares. A delicious new recruit among our women's fragrances this season.

3The pyramid: sparkling pear, creamy pistachio

The opening bites: sparkling bergamot and juicy pear replay, in a brighter key, the fruity mischief of the original. Then comes the signature: a creamy, almost gelato-like pistachio entwined with gardenia — Nina's signature flower since 2006. The base wraps it all in smooth vanilla and milky sandalwood: a soft, gourmand, enveloping trail that lingers on the skin like a sweet memory.

Did you know?

Like cherry or gardenia, pistachio is one of those treats perfumery cannot extract: it yields no usable essential oil. Its creamy, lightly toasted scent is therefore entirely rebuilt by the perfumer, blending milky, almondy and green facets. Every pistachio accord is thus a unique recipe — Nina's bears the double signature of Olivier Cresp and Sophie Labbé.

4Rouge, Rouge Crush: the full Nina family

Nina's apple has multiplied, and the three sisters have just arrived together at Olara. Nina Rouge lacquers the bottle in a truer-than-life red and wraps raspberry, citron, gardenia and ginger flower in crunchy vanilla caramel. Nina Rouge Crush, fronted by American actress Kiernan Shipka — who rose to fame as Sally Draper in Mad Men before starring in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina — captures the euphoria of a crush: addictive cherry, Damask rose, sweet vanilla, and even an upcycled lemon recovered from the food industry. Find them among our women's eaux de parfum and women's eaux de toilette.

Your questions, answered

What does the new Nina Eau de Parfum smell like?

An ultra-creamy woody floral gourmand: a sparkling opening of bergamot and pear, a heart of smooth pistachio and gardenia, then a base of vanilla and sandalwood. The formula is vegan and made with 89% natural-origin ingredients.

Who created Nina Eau de Parfum 2026?

Master perfumer Olivier Cresp — author of the original 2006 Nina, but also of Angel by Mugler and Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana — alongside Sophie Labbé, creator of Organza by Givenchy, among others.

What is the difference between Nina Eau de Toilette and Nina Eau de Parfum?

The Eau de Toilette is the 2006 original: lemon, gardenia, toffee apple, cedar — fresh and playful. The 2026 Eau de Parfum, more concentrated, swaps the toffee apple for a creamy pistachio over vanilla and sandalwood: more gourmand, more enveloping, longer-lasting.

Is Nina Eau de Parfum available at Olara?

Yes — the new arrival is available at Olara in three sizes (30, 50 and 100 ml), alongside Nina Eau de Toilette, Nina Rouge and Nina Rouge Crush, all in stock.
